Hsiao-Han Yang was born in Taoyuan, Taiwan. She started studying the piano at the age of 6, and was first taught by her mother. She made her debut at the age of 11 performing a piece of well-known Taiwanese composer, Mao-Hsuan Chen. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the National Taipei University of Education (Taipei, Taiwan), majoring in Piano Performance with minors in singing, and conducting. As an undergraduate, she was elected the Vice Director and Director of the Student Association of the Music Department,  and Teaching Assistant of the Music Director.

 

She graduated from Temple University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) completing her dual masters’ program for Piano Performance, and Collaborative Piano & Chamber Music with Charlotte Hu, Lambert Orkis, and Charles Abramovic respectively. She is currently active in the Greater Philadelphia Area as a collaborative pianist, educator, and administrator. Hsiao-Han is currenly work as a choir pianist at Swarthmore College, and is also a Brand Ambassador at Steinway and Sons Piano Gallery Philadelphia.
 

Hsiao-Han has performed as a soloist and chamber pianist at Barry University (Miami, Florida), Colby College (Waterville, Maine), Curtis Field Concert Hall (Curtis Institute of Music), Rock Hall Auditorium (Temple University), Academy of Music (Philadelphia, PA), Academy of Vocal Arts (Philadelphia, PA), St. James Church (London, UK), Ely Cathedral (Ely, UK), National Taiwan Normal University’s Concert Hall, National Chiao Tung University Arts Center (Hsinchu, Taiwan), National Taipei University of Education’s Concert Hall (Taipei, Taiwan).

 

Hsiao-Han’s been teaching private piano lessons to students of all ages since 2012. Her mother taught piano students at their home. Over the years, Hsiao-Han observed the progression of students under the tutelage of her mother. Just like her mother, Hsiao-Han is passionate about piano education and helping students achieve their goals.

 

Hsiao-Han has been serving as a program manager for the Philadelphia Young Pianists’ Academy (PYPA) Piano Festival founded by Concert pianist Charlotte Hu since 2018. As a program manager she manages PYPA social media, schedules daily masterclasses and all the events, handles PYPA correspondence, creates festival program awards booklets, and organizes International Philadelphia Piano Competition within PYPA Piano Festival. She also works as a collaborative pianist for the Philadelphia International Piano Competition at the festival.

楊曉涵出生於台灣桃園，目前於費城地區擔任鋼琴合作、教育家和音樂行政人員。她6歲開始學習鋼琴，由母親啓蒙鋼琴。後來，她在台灣台北教育大學獲得鋼琴表演專業學士學位，輔修聲樂和指揮。在本科期間，她被選為音樂系學生會會長和副會長，並擔任音樂系主任助理。她畢業於費城天普大學，獲得鋼琴表演碩士學位，專攻合作鋼琴與室內樂。她的老師包括胡瀞云、蘭伯特·奧爾基斯和查爾斯·阿布拉莫維奇。2024年春季開始，楊曉涵擔任斯沃斯莫爾學院合唱團的合唱團伴奏。2025年春季開始，他也在費城史坦威鋼琴擔任品牌大使。

 

自2018年起，她擔任費城PYPA鋼琴節的專案經理，與音樂節的鋼琴合作老師。近年，她在費城費爾蒙特區開設了自己的鋼琴工作室。

 

楊曉涵曾以獨奏家和室內樂鋼琴家的身份在以下場所演出：巴里大學（佛羅里達州邁阿密）、科爾比學院（緬因州沃特維爾）、柯蒂斯音樂學院費爾德音樂廳、範·克萊本音樂廳（德州基督教大學）、洛克音樂廳（天普大學）、費城音樂學院、斯沃斯莫爾學院、哈弗福德學院、台灣師範大學音樂廳、國立交通大學藝術中心（台灣新竹）、台北教育大學音樂廳（台灣台北）。
